The Salon national des animaux de compagnie (SNAC), presented by SNAC.CA, is the largest pet show in Canada. In its first 12 years, the Montreal edition drew a total of 525,000 visitors. The first ten shows held in Quebec City between 2002 and 2011 drew an impressive 160,000 visitors.
And for 2012... Sherbrooke !
The Greater Sherbrooke, Montreal and Quebec City regions on their own make up 92% of the market in the province of Quebec. Needless to say, as a partner of the Sherbrooke, Montreal and Quebec City SNACs, sponsors can connect with the entire province... This is a unique advantage, as not even prestigious car and home shows can say as much!
The Sherbrooke, Montreal and Quebec City SNACs are intended as innovative events that include all types of animals: cats, dogs, rodents, rabbits, fishes, ferrets, birds, exotic animals, etc. There’s something for everyone! For each type of animals, SNAC looks to work with the best: serious and credible breeders, recognized associations, veterinarians, recognized businesses, etc. Also, all partners and sponsors are sorted by topic to galvanize the image and credibility of the organization.
Over the past few years, major innovations have been created at the SNAC: We were the first show to only allow champion dog breeders, the first show to ban the terrible “puppy mills,” the first event to include a cat and dog show as part of the public exhibitions, the first show to implement an international symposium on dog behaviour or an animal advertising competition... The new components planned for 2012 are part of this bold and successful dynamic.
